Corporate relocation · Omaha

Relocating to Omaha for Werner Enterprises.

West Omaha, near 144th and I-80

Werner sits out west near the interstate, which flips the normal Omaha relocation question. Living downtown means driving against the grain every morning, while the newer western neighborhoods put you minutes from the door.

Where people live

A west-side office, so the usual downtown commute logic runs in reverse.

Elkhorn
Award-winning schools, new construction, acreages west of 204th, and a ten-minute commute.
Millard & Pacific Springs
Established west-side housing with strong schools, close to the office and considerably cheaper than Elkhorn.
Champions Run & Shadow Ridge
The upper end out west — larger lots, newer builds, golf.
Gretna
Fast-growing, newer, and an easy interstate run from the south-west.

How a relocation actually goes

  1. 01

    Before you accept

A call, and if it helps, a tour. Bill has driven corporate and medical candidates around this city for forty years — often before they had taken the job. Knowing what your package actually buys changes the negotiation.

  2. 02

    One trip, properly used

Neighborhoods, schools and the commute driven at the hour you will actually drive it. Most relocations get one visit; it should not be spent guessing.

  3. 03

    Buying from out of state

Video walkthroughs, a representative in the room, and someone who will tell you when a house is wrong for you. Bill reads construction — he estimated materials before he sold houses.

  4. 04

    Selling where you are now

We coordinate with your agent at the other end so the two closings do not fight each other. That is most of what goes wrong in a relocation.

Bill holds the Certified Relocation Professional designation and has worked with corporate recruiters bringing candidates to Omaha for four decades. If you are a recruiter rather than the candidate, send them this page — or call and he will take the tour himself.
