Dodge County, about twenty-five minutes from West Dodge
Fremont & the Lakes
Fremont is a real town with its own downtown, its own economy and its own history, which makes it a different proposition from a suburb. The lakes on its southern edge are why a lot of Omaha buyers end up here anyway.

These figures populate from the Great Plains Regional MLS once the team’s IDX agreement covers this domain. Nothing here is estimated in the meantime. Mapped to Fremont.
The town and the water
Fremont proper has housing stock going back to the nineteenth century, a walkable core, and prices that surprise people who have only shopped inside the Omaha metro. It is a place where a buyer priced out of West Omaha finds they can afford considerably more house.
The lakes are a separate market. Sandpit lakes south of town, some with year-round homes, some with weekend places, and a range from modest cabins to substantial lakefront residences. Water frontage, dock rights and whether a property is on a private or association lake matter more here than any interior finish.
On the commute
Twenty-five minutes to West Dodge is genuinely twenty-five minutes when the weather cooperates. It is not always twenty-five minutes. Buyers who make this move happily are the ones who did the drive at 7:20 on a February morning before they wrote an offer, not the ones who did it at noon in June.
